Aviation Solutions Graduates 1000th FIRC Participant

Guelph, ON - June 3 2021

This week Aviation Solutions marked a milestone Flight Instructor Refresher Course by graduating their 1000th FIRC participant. As noted by Michael Schuster, Chief Instructor “we have now graduated more attendees than all other Canadian course providers combined.”

The FIRC is a professional development program that allows successful attendees to renew their flight instructor ratings while improving their skill and knowledge – offering an even higher level of service and quality to their students. Attendees have opportunities to attend lectures, break-out sessions, work on skill development with their colleagues, and hear from a wide variety of industry experts.

During this course attendees attended virtually owing to the pandemic, which curtailed traditional forms of celebration. However, the staff and class received many congratulatory messages; culminating with a special appearance by internet sensation (and puppet) Captain Roger Victor who delivered a special video address.

“We would like to congratulate the members of Class 61” said Schuster. “They have all worked extremely hard and were a great group. They had a lot to contribute to the program throughout our discussions and are a credit to our industry.”

The 1000th graduate was Jack Paquette, Chief Flight Instructor of Air Pockets Adventures in Beiseker Alberta. It was announced at the end of the course that Jack would be receiving a complimentary FIRC for his next rating renewal. “That’s amazing, great. Thank you very much!” Jack responded when advised of the prize.
